Holy Avtar Vani - Shabad No. 24
Ant nahin teri rachna da vistar da tere ant nahin;
Aar na tera nazrin aawe paar da tere ant nahin.
Til bhar tainu jaan na sakke lakkhan raula pande rahe;
Tur tur painda ghalan thakian dane zor lagande rahe.
Tera ant koi na jane thah kise na paee ey;
Jinni kar lao oni thorhi vadde di vadiyaee ey.
Ki koi jane ki koi bujjhe uchha pak mukam tera;
Sabh ton uchha sabh ton suchha nirankar ik naam tera.
Ena uchha kehrha hove jo eh uchha jaan lae;
Boond bane oh aap samunder jo sagar vich aan pae.
Ap kare je kirpa ape apna ap jana sakda ey;
Avtar guru je mil jaye poora chhin vich ram vikha sakda ey.
Meaning
God’s creation has no limit, and God’s extent is endless. None can point out God’s beginning or His end. Millions have been creating hue and cry, without being able to know God at all. Their bodies and intellect got tired in trying hard to understand God. None could know God’s limit and none could measure His depth. To whatever extent one may sing God’s praise, it is never sufficient to describe His greatness. How can one know or understand God’s exalted stature. The name of formless God is the greatest and the purest of all. Who can be great enough to understand God’s greatness? A drop that joins the ocean, becomes the ocean itself. God can be known only with the benevolence of God Himself. Avtar says, if one finds the perfect True Master, he can reveal God unto you instantly.
